TEXAS: Trump 53% Harris 46%

Former President Donald Trump holds a 7 point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris in the Lonestar state (53% to 46%).

While it is impossible to know exactly who will show up to vote on November 5, Napolitan News considers a range of possible turnout indicators. We’re beginning to see a trend among those most likely to vote. Currently, those most likely to vote lean a bit more Republican, meaning Democrats will do better if turnout is higher.

Updated Napolitan News numbers on the Senate race between Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Colin Allred will be released tomorrow.

Napolitan News surveys ask an initial question to determine the voter preference for each candidate. Then, a follow-up question is asked of uncommitted voters to see which candidate they are leaning towards. The results are then reported “with leaners.”

On the initial ask– the number without leaners– it was Trump 51%, Harris 45%.

This Napolitan News Service survey of 779 Likely Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on September 25-27, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.5.
