Regardless of who they’re going to vote for, 46% of voters believe that Harris will win, while 45% think Trump will. This is the closest we’ve ever seen since we began asking this question in July.
Forty-two percent (42%) believe that it’s unlikely progressives would accept Trump as the legitimate winner, while 48% think it’s unlikely conservatives would accept Harris as the legitimate winner.
If Donald Trump wins, 42% think it’s likely progressives would react with violence. If Kamala Harris wins, 48% think it’s likely conservatives would react with violence.
This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on October 28-29, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
