53% Think The Federal Government Should Compensate Victims of Crimes By Illegal Immigrants

Most Americans (53%) think the federal government should pay compensation to a victim of a crime committed by an illegal immigrant. A Napolitan News Service survey found that 27% disagree.

Immigration is a top issue for Americans and has been a key topic for presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Sixty-five percent (65%) see illegal immigration as a threat to America’s national security, and 59% believe that current levels of illegal immigration increase the amount of violent crime in the United States.

This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on October 28, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
