73% Think It’s More Important to Prepare High School Students for Jobs than College

Seventy-three percent (73%) of voters believe it’s more important to prepare high school students for jobs and careers rather than college. A Napolitan News survey found that just 16% disagreed and believe it’s more important to prepare students for college.

In addition, 70% believe providing job opportunities for people without degrees is more important than making sure everyone can go to college. Most also believe it should be illegal to require a college degree for a job when it’s not necessary.

This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on October 14-15, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
