Forty-three percent (43%) of voters say they are very confident that votes will be accurately counted and the proper winners declared in the upcoming election. That’s up a bit from 36% in August.
Additionally, 34% are somewhat confident that the votes will be accurately counted. Twenty percent (20%) are not very or not at all confident.
Twenty-nine percent (29%) of Republicans are now Very Confident (up 10 points since August). Among Democrats 64% are Very Confident (up five points since August).
The fact that fewer than half of all voters are very confident suggests that the losing team this year will once again believe they were robbed. Most Republicans still believe Trump won in 2020 and most Democrats still believe Clinton was the legitimate winner in 2016. Only 29% of voters think that the legitimate winner took office following both 2016 and 2020.
This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on October 9-10, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
