37% Rate the Handling of Hurricane Helene as Good or Excellent

Thirty-seven percent (37%) rate the way government authorities have handled Hurricane Helene as excellent (10%) or good (27%). Twenty-four percent (24%) rate it as poor, while 28% are in between and rate the response as just fair.

When it comes to major disasters like hurricanes, 35% trust state and local governments more to handle preparation and recovery, compared to just 12% who trust the federal government more. 

This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on October 2-3, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
