Just 29% of Voters Believe Legitimate Winner Was Declared President in Both 2016 and 2020

Fair elections are in the eye of the beholder.

A Napolitan News survey found that 65% of Republicans believe that Donald Trump was the legitimate winner of the 2020 election.  At the same time, 60% of Democrats thought Hilary Clinton was the legitimate winner of the 2016 election.

Overall, just 29% of voters believe the proper winner was declared in both 2016 and 2020.

This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on July 24-25, 2023. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
