Forty-six percent (46%) say the U.S. should be supporting Israel. This is up from 42% in early September, and 36% in July.
Just 12% believe the U S. should support Palestinian groups.
Following the attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon, approval of Israel’s response to Hamas has also increased over recent weeks to 48%.
Voters are unclear which side Vice President Harris supports. Twenty-three percent (23%) believe she is more supportive of Israel, while 22% believe she’s more supportive of Palestinian groups.
On a partisan basis, 36% of Republicans believe Harris is more supportive of Palestinian groups, and 34% of Democrats believe she is more supportive of Israel.
Voters believe former President Donald Trump is more supportive of Israel over Palestinian groups (45% to 6%). That includes 59% of Republicans and 33% of Democrats.
When it comes to supporting Jewish Americans, 31% believe Republicans are more supportive, while 33% believe Democrats are more supportive. This is significant, as the Democratic party has traditionally been seen as the more supportive party for Jewish Americans.

This Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on September 30, 2024. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1.
