70% of the Elite 1% Trust the Federal Government

Seventy percent (70%) of the Elite 1% trust the federal government to do the right thing most of the time. That stands in sharp contrast to the vast majority of Americans. The most recent RMG Research poll on the topic showed that just 22% of voters place such trust in the federal government. Pew Research data shows that it’s been more than half a century since most voters trusted the government most of the time.

Older elites were somewhat less trusting than younger elites.

The Elite 1% are people with a postgraduate degree who live in densely populated areas and earn at least $150,000 a year. The survey was conducted by RMG Research for the Committee to Unleash Prosperity.
