36% of voters prefer candidate advocating Trump-like policies

Given a choice between four presidential candidates of equal character and competence, 36% would prefer a candidate who advocated policies like those of Donald Trump. A Napolitan News survey of 2,000 Registered Voters found that 15% would prefer a candidate with traditional Republican views, 22% would prefer a candidate advocating traditional Democratic policies and 21% would pick a candidate supporting Sanders’ like policies.

“We first asked this question in October 2020 and the general dynamics have always remained the same,” said Scott Rasmussen, president of RMG Research. “On the GOP side of the divide, Trump-like policies always dominate. On the other side, the split between Traditional and Sanders Democrats remains evenly split.”

Rasmussen added that, “In the first survey, 48% picked one of the GOP leaning options and the same number picked one of the Dem leaning options. The current totals showing 51% picking a GOP option and 43% going the other way reflects the impact of the Biden Administration.”
